Plug & Abandonment

Well P&A marks the end of a well’s lifecycle. If an exploratory well did not find commercial quantities, or when a production well has reached its economic limit, it is decided to permanently plug and abandon the well. It is important to properly plan and execute P&A of a well to optimize cost, safety, environmental performance, and technical certainty, meeting all regulatory requirements.
